The following chart provides my analysis of the qualities associated with those born under the 12 different zodiac signs and their mutual compatibility with each other.

The qualities of any particular sign is determined by the following three factors:

 1. The row (the vertical position) it falls in (which determines their outlook towards life),

2.  The column (the horizontal position) it falls in (which determines the main qualities of those born under the sign) and

3.  Its position in the consecutive series of flexible, moderately flexible and inflexible signs.

If it falls in the topmost row, for example, those born under it will have an experimental outlook towards life, are likely to get bored easily etc.. If falls in the second row, they are likely to be a touch more sentimental than the others etc..

As for columns, if the sign is in the leftmost column, those born under it are likely to be more intelligent than the rest, the middle column signs tend to have passionate or driven people and the rightmost column is more likely to have rather quiet and subdued, but sensitive people.

The last factor determining your general characteristics is the three-monthly repeating cycle of flexible, moderately flexible and inflexible people. If you are born under a flexible sign, you are likely to be a good adapter to changing circumstances while if you are born under an inflexible sign, you are likely to face trouble changing yourself according to sudden changes in  your life circumstances.

COMPATIBILITY

Generally, the theory of compatibility is that signs in the chart are horizontally compatible (members of the same horizontal group are compatible) as they share the same outlook towards life, but not vertically, as despite having similar powers, their priorities conflict those of each other.

On compatibility, it is also suggested that any pairing of members of the same sign will leading to considerable boredom, as not only their approaches are the same, but also their abilities and assets.

Thus, each sun sign has two other signs in the same horizontal group  compatible with it, 'zodiacally' speaking.

Qualities of individividual signs are also given under each sign, with the positive traits followed by the negative ones, not all of which are of course found in the same individual at the same time.
